Meet Paige, BSN, RN, CPSN
Paige started her professional nursing career more than half a decade ago caring for post-operative patients on a trauma unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. With a passion for connecting with patients and a desire to see them through all phases of their operative journey, Paige transitioned to an outpatient nursing role working with the city’s top plastic surgeons at Northwestern Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As an ANCC recognized Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse, Paige has spent the past five years at NPRS crafting her assessment skills, counseling patients in perioperative education, and walking with patients before, during, and after their recovery from both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. Paige was honored to be the recipient of the Spring 2021 Daisy Award at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, with her nominator endorsing, “At times I have found navigating the challenges of breast cancer, mastectomy, and reconstruction overwhelming; during those times Paige has been accessible, informative, reassuring, and calming. She is an exemplary nurse.” Paige is also excellent with IV insertion and assessment, once a DIVA (Difficult Intravenous Access Team) member at Northwestern and currently operating as an infusion nurse at RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center in addition to remaining per diem at NPRS. In her free time, Paige enjoys cycling with her husband along the lakefront or planning her next travel adventure.
